IT Outsourcing

IT outsourcing is not really a new concept these days. It stands for using external resources (external company) to deliver IT related products and services for internal needs. Because of the current incredible dynamics in the IT industry, for a company that relies on IT, it is often a necessity to choose the outsourcing solution.

Complex care of company's IT infrastructure is from a long term the key element that should be placed high in the hierarchy of decision making structure. Contemporary tight relationship between information technologies and almost any operation that happens within company increases the importance of information technologies among all the other company elements.

Outsourcing is a modular solution (complex or selective outsourcing). Based on SLA (Service Level Agreement) contract, it is possible to specify in detail responsibilities of all parties (subscriber, supplier). Services that are included in the outsourcing contract can be divided into several categories, according to the scope of the service:

  • Reactive services > are services that react on an already existing issue and try to eliminate it.

  • Proactive services > are services (like non-stop monitoring / reporting) that determine a possible cause of an issue before it happens. This makes it possible to take actions which will prevent the issue from occurring at all.

  • IT operation > includes a majority of phases of the IT life-cycle so that quality and availability could be guaranteed.

  • Complex outsourcing

Advantages of using outsourcing:
